Emerging from the tree line at a full gallop, the five Shadow Riders saw Lady Kirriam sitting on horseback right before them with a look of utter bewilderment on her face.
Pulling up to a stop, two of the mercenaries whipped out crossbows, quickly aiming them directly at Lady Kirriam. The other two rode around behind her to cut off any possible chance of escape!
Finally, one of the Shadow Riders smiled and spoke calmly, "Good day to you, my lady! My name is Skull and these are my compatriots. If you don't mind my asking, who are you and what are you doing in our neck of the woods?"
