This, apparently, was precisely the wrong thing to have said to Lady Kirriam.
"I WHAT?" she nearly shrieked. "Prisoner of WAR?" The spitfire persona that most people knew Kirriam by was now slammed firmly into place by Skull's comments. "You'll pardon me, but WE ARE NOT AT WAR!! Your leaders have formed an alliance with Yarfell- by the Gods, I was THERE IN THE ROOM WHEN THE ALLIANCE WAS AGREED UPON!" She urged her horse a step forward, not enough to make anyone think she was charging Skull or trying to escape, but just enough to show that she was serious.
Locking eyes with Skull, she continued, "You cannot take me as a prisoner of war because WE ARE ON THE SAME SIDE! And further, though you have pitched your camp here, this grove is in the outlying lands that belong to the kingdom of Yarfell, therefore I am in NO way, shape, or form, intruding upon 'YOUR' territory! ARE WE CLEAR?!" Folding her arms with finality, she matched Skull's glare and concluded, "Now, are you going to take me to my brother or not?"
