Leaning forward a little to focus the councilors attentions on his next words, the Swordsman said, "Before I continue, let me make one thing perfectly clear: My men and I are soldiers, we're not butchers! However this fact was lost on the Dark Lord as he took his anger out on me by blasting me in the back and leaving me to die on a remote hillside--alone!"
Pausing a little, the Dark Elf smiled and said, "Among the denizens of the Underdark there is an old saying that goes: 'Never backstab a Drow and leave the job undone!' It is my goal to teach this hard lesson to the Dark Lord the only way I know how--by crippling his army and preventing him from claiming the city and land of Yarfell!"
"However, my men need to be paid and re-supplied!" concluded the Drow evenly, "While revenge is a great motivating force, it can neither fill my soldier's stomachs nor their coin purses. But a commission to go to war against the Dark Lord and his army will! And that is why I am here before you today! Venger's Orcs are in desperate need of being evicted from your kingdom, and my men and I are more than up to the task of doing it!"
