Watching and listening as the small company mounted up, Lord Tolan made a very careful note of the directions to the Drow encampment. As the six figures rode off to the east, he signalled for the gates to be shut once again.
"Captain!" he called as the massive gates were finally barred.
"Yessir, Lord Talon!" the captain of the guard said as he stepped up, saluting smartly and wondering why Tolan winced slightly.
Otherwise ignoring the captain's horrible way with names, Tolan handed him the list of needed supplies. "You have two hours to procure all the items on this list. Much of this can be found in the castle's stores. Speak to Lord Dalor about money from the treasury to purchase what you must, otherwise, sign a writ of credit with what merchants you can. In the mean time, I am going to speak to the Princess about delivering the commission to the Shadow Riders."
