Graciously accepting Evenflow from Lord Tolan, Sterling responded to the nobleman's query, "We will be in a forest grove just outside of the city to the east! While Venger will undoubtedly know that we are here, there is no reason for him to know our exact number! You can send the supplies there when you've finished gathering them! I wish you well, Lord Tolan, good day to you!"
As the gates finished opening, Sterling fully expected his men to be waiting there for him. However, the Dark Elf was greatly surprised to see Doc sitting on his horse holding the reins of five other steeds, grinning from ear to ear!
"Don't worry, Captain!" mentioned Doc almost demurely, "Sarge found a grove to the east of the city that would be a perfect resting place for us before we move against Venger! And if you're wondering how we knew you got the commission, we figured that you had to have it because you were taking so blasted long to get back to us! We thought that you were probably ironing out terms or hobnobbing with the nobles, one of the two, so we set up camp! Also, Sarge, Spirits, and I have formed a war council so if you want to talk strategy with us, we're waiting on you, sir!"
Sterling smiled with an evil grin and said, "Great minds think alike, Doc! Great minds think alike! Lead us there!"
