Okay, king's adopted daughter, a bunch of guards ready to slag us and DM appears at the scene."And where have you been?!" I snapped at the little man.
"Easy, Mystic. I've come to explain the situation to Meeyatha's people."
"And what, pray tell, do you have to tell about?" I said. "I was the one nearly sacrificed alongside her! And what is this white stone in my tiara for?! Its energy is doing something to her and I don't know what!"
"When you first received your weapon," DM explained to me. "I granted you two stones; the red one for defense, and the white one to heal your wounds. Its power is tricking Meeyatha's body into healing itself, thus her current state."
"Then how do I rush the healing process further?"
"That would require more power, my dear. Power which you have not yet accquired."
"And where do I accquire this power?!"
"Within life, of course. You've just started to use the white stone, correct? Now that it has been activated, it must generate its own power. In time, you could use it to heal thousands."
"In time, she could be dead!"
"She could be dead, Mystic, had you not aided Fairalin in the healing process. Her wounds were serious since your escape from the Rock Creatures. You may have well saved her life."
"Oh, that explains a lot!"
"I'd learn to control that temper if I were you, Cassandra. Though it runs in the family, your mind must be cleared for the battles to come."
"Okay, I don't care what you say about me, but leave my family out of it." I snapped. I glared at the Cavalier, recalling his little comment. "And that goes triple for you!"
"What is it about the matter being more than it seemed, Dungeon Master?" Presto asked. Eventually, DM got around to explaining things.
