Oouga nodded, then turned to Eric, Diana, and Presto. "Peace... gen see... we... " he looked frustrated as he tried to convey his thoughts, then simply sighed and shook his head. The Magician said sadly, "We know, Oouga, we know! We understand what you're saying. And you take care of yourself too! Okay?"
"WHAT!?!" cried the Cavalier in total disbelief at the Wood Elven King's decision, "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!!"
"Eric, take it easy," cautioned Terri trying to calm him down.
"YOU TAKE IT EASY!" retorted the Cavalier angrily, "THIS AIN'T FAIR!!! AFTER BEING CHASED BY BAGUETTES AND GREMLINS AND ROCK MONSTERS, THEY GET A GET-OUT-OF-JAIL-FREE CARD AND ALL WE GET IS A ONE WAY TRIP TO SING-SING!?! WHERE'S THE JUSTICE IN THAT!?! GUYS, THIS AIN'T RIGHT! THIS AIN'T RIGHT BY A LONG SHOT!!!"
"True," said Varla calmly, "This is neither fair nor right nor just, Eric! However, it simply is! And we must accept that--you must accept it--for all of our sakes!"
The Cavalier just looked at Varla in pure disbelief and shook his head sadly as the truth of her words began to sink in!
Then Oouga clasped Presto, then Diana, in a big hug. Turning to Eric, he clasped him in a hug, too. He roughly whispered in the Cavalier's ear "Safe them!"
"Yeah, sure big guy, whatever you say!" moaned Eric defeatedly.
Oouga then turned to the King and waited tamely, trying not to appear threatening, as he still towered over the entire group at 6'5" or so.
