"Well considering I've never worn armour, ridden a horse and my experience with any sort of hand-to-hand combat is pretty much non-existant I think training is in order."Spud pondered, "Hmmm, a letter. Assuming anyone ever has the opportunity to give it to them, how would I possibly explain this to them, so they would believe whoever delivered it."
Taking a deep breath and straightening his shirt very much like Jean Luc Picard might.
"Well I always said I wanted to see the Leafs win the Cup before I died. So I'll just have to survive this so I can get home in time to see it!" Spud finally said with a smile, "and the sooner I learn the better my chance of survival, so I think I'll go find this Chopper fellow and I'll speak to you later Sterling."
Spud stood up and went off to find Chopper so as to begin as soon as possible.
Just before he left the tent Spud turned around for a second, "I guess this means I'm getting paid like everyone else now? Oh and Heidi is having a bit of a rough time right now so you know, to do with this Lt. Nizar....This kind of distraction on the battlefield can be hazardous to her. Maybe someone should talk to her."
Spud just shrugged curled the left side of his mouth.
