Spud smiled broudly, shrugged and laughed, "Ooo, boy, I must be nuts! I can't believe what I'm turning down. Haha! Oh well, it is the right choice!" "Have it your way, Spud, but I agree with you," conceded the Swordsman laughingly, "I think you and Heidi are absolutely nuts! Heck, if it wasn't for the fact that I had to lead my men into battle, I would take the liaision officer's position in a second! Still, it's your choice, and I guess I'll just have to approach Psilo with it the next time I see him."
Thinking things over a little, Sterling added, "Well, if you're going to help us on the battlefield you're going to need some armor and a weapon. You're also going to have to learn how to ride a horse, use a sword, and fight from horseback--that is if you don't already know how to do these things. And you're going to have to learn this stuff before we leave--which will probably be at sunset, once we've gotten our supplies! I suggest that you go find Chopper, the Drow that's teaching Heidi the fine art of horsemanship and have him serve as your instructor. He'll be able to teach you everything you need to know!"
Before Spud left, the Swordsman added, "And one more thing, corporal. At some point, take the time to write a letter to your family and tell Heidi and Psilo to do the same. If we don't survive the war and one of our other team members do and returns back home, we can at least have them mail our letters to our families explaining what happened to us. You don't have to if you don't want to, but I highly recommend it."
