Just before he left the tent Spud turned around for a second, "I guess this means I'm getting paid like everyone else now? Spud just shrugged curled the left side of his mouth.
Sterling sadly smiled, "Normally, I don't try and probe into the personal affairs of other people--unless they really want me to do it! I asked Heidi earlier if anything was wrong, she said no, and I'm going to leave it at that. Just take care of yourself, Spud, jealousy can be an ugly thing."
