"Two silver? Make it 5 and you're on!" Psilo cheered. "I can always use the extra money to pay for my banner."As the group reached the city gates, the captain of the guard held out his hand, halting the Shadow Riders. "I hope you got all that you needed because once it gets dark, we'll be closing the gates. No one gets in and no one gets out." The captain had a satisfied look on his face.
"Gee, Sharky. I guess we should hurry up and collect our money if we want to make it to a tavern before the gates close," Psilo noted.
"Yeah, let's get a move on. The ledger line is on the north side of camp, a good ten minutes from here if we hurry. There'll be a long line, too, I'd bet." Sharky looked at the captain and his guards, "G'Nite gentlemen."
