"But to prove your sincerity and help forge the alliance, do you think that it would be a wise idea to have one of your Drow warriors be among the party to return the child unharmed to her people?" suggested Lord Tolan.

Sterling thought long and hard about High Councilors request, considering the full weight of what he was asking. The Dark Elf knew that Tolan's idea was a good one, a show of solidarity would go a long way to forging an alliance between all parties involved. However, the Swordsman also knew that if something went wrong, the accompanying Drow Warrior would probably not escape from the Forest of Macul alive--if at all! In essence, it was a suicide mission! But what could be gained from such a military alliance, would be far greater than what would be at risk.

The Swordsman looked at the High Councilor of Yarfell saying, "It's an excellent idea, Lord Tolan. And while I would love to undertake this mission myself, I know that I can't, simply put, I've got an army of Orcs to cripple! However, I will ask one of my officers, my Lieutenant, to do it! He's a good man, who's extremely intelligent, and a nobleman as well! Plus he can be quite open-minded when he wants to be, and I firmly believe that he would be an excellent choice for this operation."

Sighing a little, Sterling asked, "So when are you planning to start this mission to the Forest of Macul? And do you have any idea when our supplies will arrive? I am eager to get underway."

    A Point To Ponder
