The sour swamp air tasted sweet to Thothalas' ragged throat as he gulped lung-fulls deeply. He tried not to stare at the blood on his hands; instead he watched his friends Ashleyien and Cadbury near him. With a grim smile more snarl than anything else he wiped the blood from his dagger on the clothes of the fallen drow. The silver almost seemed to glisten in the gloom."Grandfather's dagger," he breathed. "I must sing a prayer to his star this night."
Cadbury slipped into his satchel as the mage gathered himself and offered his hand to the Warrioress who had come to his aid. Her small hand held firm to his long, graceful digits as she stood up beside him, ready for action.
"Thank you, my lady. Once again, you have saved my life and claimed a debt of honor that I hope I am worthy enough to pay.
"Now to the others!"
Thothalas
((Ash: I really liked your post for Thoth; thanks for posting it. I should be back for a few days now (hope, hope).))
