'It can't end like this' was her last conscience thought before Alexia passed out and her head sank into the swamp. Purging the last of the water from his lungs, the Swordsman looked up haphazardly to see Alexia being pulled into the mire of the Swamp. Racing over to the Fire Mage's side, the Dark Elf reached down, grabbed Alexia's free arm and pulled her upward. Slicing through the remaining tentacles wrapped around the unconscious teenager with Evenflow in hand; Sterling was barely able to free the Fire Mage of Sorrowspinner's death trap before a ball of black energy slammed into his back, sending the Drow Swordsman flying a few feet away from the Fire Mage as he landed with a resounding thud!
"Fool!" cried Sorrowspinner maddeningly. "No one said that you could interfere! Now burn in Hell and die!"
Looking down at Alexia, the Drow Priestess smiled confidently and said, "And as for you, my little Fire Mage, sleep and know no more!" And with that some dreamvines erupted from the earth and began to tightly wrap themselves around Alexia!
Screaming in pain, the Dark Elf quickly realized that the energy ball that had struck him in the back had left behind a dark, viscous residue that was burning its way through his armor. Quickly slipping his Elven chain mail off of him, the Swordsman still felt some of the sting of that burning residue as he snarled between gritted teeth, "TUCY, GET HER!"
