"YAA!" Spud screamed in pain. Grabbing a tree branch between first two fingers he jammed it straight into the beasts eyeball and twisted it like a corkscrew. "Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! Yipe!" cried the Fire Hound hobbling off in pain, trying at every interval to get the branch out of its eye!
But before Spud could get to his feet, the one that had initially knocked him over came back for another attack! Leaping into the young man's chest, the hound bowled Spud over, trying to not only pin the young man, but also rip his face off!
"You will not take me down" Heidi whispered "Or my friends!" She thoguht she felt her sword go warm but decided that she had caught her hand in the flame blast on her foot (which was still very painful)!
While Heidi concentrated her attention on the one in front of her; the hound that she had knocked over the head with the hilt of her sword had regained its senses and slammed into her from the rear, sending the Knight sprawling to the ground.
As Heidi fell, the two Fire Hounds descended upon the embattled Knight! One biting her in the Achilles tendon trying to rip it out and the other reattaching itself to the Knight's arm in an effort to rend her appendage from her shoulder.
Ral, for his part, waited for the two Fire Hounds attacking him to make their move. One leaped towards him in an effort to bite him on the arm, the Monk easily dodged that one as its partner attempted to do the same.
However instead of dodging this attack, Ral grabbed the hound around it's neck and quickly snapped it like a twig!
Turning to see where the other hound had landed, Ral gave the creature a cold, hard stare and allowed the limp body of its compatriot to fall to the ground.
"NEXT!?!" was the only word that escaped the Monk's lips. The fire hound, realizing that discretion was the better part of valor, immediately turned tail and fled for its life!
