((Swamp))" The first of the fire hounds stepped out from behind a set of trees near the Ral, Spud, and Heidi. This creature was as big as a large wolf, had sickly black fur, large red eyes and appeared to be quite rabid. As saliva and foam dripped from its mouth, the creature coldly regarded its intended prey. Stopping just at the edge of the clearing, the fire hound waited and then gave a low howl. Almost instantly, five others appeared and began to pair off into groups of two--each eyeing Ral, Spud, and Heidi as eagerly as one would eye a juicy steak dinner! Ral suggested, "Everybody, get back-to-back and stay together! Don't let them separate you and whatever you do, don't let them get behind you!"
