EO waited until Bubbles had climbed down the golden ladder before climbing down herself. Once down, she moved away from the bottom, looking around her. She saw Bubbles moving towards a barrel and followed her, wondering at what the Cambion intended to do with a barrel. She couldn't exactly carry it through the Catacombs on her back, after all.The reminder of one of her earliest blunders when she had started gaming made her chuckle, muttering something about stupid elves with barrels of pork. When Bubbles started to shove the barrel to one side, EO gripped it firmly and helped to shove it out of the way, eyes widening at the gape in the wall that was revealed.
She straightened, poking a head through the opening, eyes greeted with darkness. She frowned, pulling back before scanning the room. Nothing save the barrel itself was available, so she pulled her sword free and used it to smash the barrel, resheathing the weapon once that was accomplished. She picked up a long slat, hoisting it in the air as she used her other hand to inscribe the arcane symbols of a spell in the air. Touching the wood with her index finger once the spell was complete, the slat gave off a cheery glow.
"A 'continual light' spell," EO explained to Bubbles with a grin. "It should last for awhile, hopefully. Usually we cast it on copper pieces so that it would last longer, but I bet that when I change back, anything that I got from this look will disappear too. And I didn't think anyone else had any copper pieces. So this should do. That's it for my spells though, unfortunately."
She stepped through the opening, waving the wood about as she did so. She shuddered at the darkness that was driven away by the light in her hand, drawing her sword again at the feel of unease that swept over her. The last time she had been in underground tunnels had not been pleasant at all. "And I thought myself done with underground tunnels for awhile," she muttered darkly.
((just to let the rest of the group know…the barrel piece will now be able to provide enough light for everyone to see by. *G* So we don't have to worry about a torch. Heh))
