I am awake. Yes, that is it. I no longer sleep. The sun is warm on my face as it gleams through the trees as I sit upon a bolder, trying to gather my thoughts. Where am I? I don’t recognize this part of the wood. I never knew there was a swamp here in Veheira Woods. Maybe I was kidnapped or something…“Hello Druid!” came an Eire voice.
“YIKES!!” I yelled, jumping so high I nearly knocked my noggin on the branches of the tree overhead. “Wh-who are y-you?”
“Fear not, I am Dungeon Master. I mean you no harm.”
“Just s-stay away! Don’t come any closer!” I rummaged trough my skull, desperately trying to think of spell to waylay my attacker. What was that spell…
“You needn’t be afraid of me. I’ve come to help you,” the short bald man in red robes proclaimed.
“Help me? I don’t understand. Why would I need your help?” Spell, spell, what was that spell?!!
“I know of a way to help you get home…”
“Huh?! What do you mean ‘to get me home’? I am home… though I don’t remember there being a swamp in Veheira Woods.” Aha! Got it – ‘Hallucinate’!! I raise my hand and wiggle my fingers, motioning my hands back and forth like I was fanning smoke away from myself and spoke the words to my spell.
“Your magic will have no effect on me, Druid” the Dungeon Master smiled.
“Impossible!!” I gasped. You should be on the ground screaming for Simina by now!” I backed up a little bit against a nearby bush.
The Dungeon Master smiled a hidden laugh as he raised his own hand and called out a name, “Psilorabbit.” A greenish-white blast of energy shot forth from the Dungeon Master’s hand and struck me dead on in the chest. It didn’t hurt, but I felt strange… and my clothes were different!! What is this staff in my hand!!
“What the..?!” I called out in disbelief. “What have you done to me?!!”
“I have given you the means of survival; here in this world.”
“This world? What is that supposed to mean??” I asked. “No… You mean I’m not in Veheira woods? Not even on the planet Kemmoss?? Surely you jest!!”
The Dungeon Master turns and begins to walk down a path.
“W-wait! So just where am I and how do I get back home?” I plea.
“You are in the Realm of Dungeon and Dragons. In order to for you to get home you must overcome Venger, the force of evil in this world. Fear not, there are others here that will aid you in your quest. Seek them out and you will find the way home.”
“So where do I find these other people? Are they close by? And what happened to Gimini and Surrie? Are they here as well?” I wonder.
“Worry not, your friends are safe on your world. It was only you who made the journey to this realm. The companions you must now seek are just beyond those trees. Trust in them and all will become clear…” the Dungeon Master says as he steps behind a tree stump.
“Yes, but how do I… Dungeon Master? Where did he …go?” Hmmm… I wonder if I cast that spell on me instead of him. Oh well. What was that? Hmm? Laughter… just beyond those trees! It must be the people the guy told me about. I grab my staff and make my way trough the trees to the edge of the camp. There are several odd looking creatures here; and none of them have fur! This might be difficult.
“Um, hello there…my name is… Oh what did that bald man call me…? Oh yes! My name is Psilorabbit. I was wondering if you might be able to help me…”
(OOC - Description of my character)
Psilorabbit
Druidic Protector of Veheira Woods
I am a brown and white anthropomorphic rabbit, about 4 feet tall with my long floppy ears tied at the back of my head. I wear dark green robes and carry a 5 foot tall/long staff with a strange arcane symbols encircling the entire length; a black stone sits sits atop with carved vines holding it in place. The staff itself has the power to cast the spell, 'sleep', once or twice a day but is primarily used as a quarterstaff weapon. I also have the ability to cast the spells; charm person, deep sleep (single target), and Hallucinate (a type of fear spell).
