As Taraine cut loose with a huge fireball, Skullsplitter dived to the ground and allowed it to pass over her. The fireball smashed into the earth a few yards behind her and shook the ground so hard that Taraine was knocked off of her feet. From her position, War Scribe was barely able to hold onto the tree trunk supporting her branch to keep herself from falling to the swamp floor. Looking down at the two combatants, the Drow Chronicler screamed, "Hey, watch it with those fireballs bozo! Do you want to start a marsh fire or what?!"
However as she said this War Scribe did notice that some of the brush surrounding the impact crater left by the fireball began to catch fire and started to smoke!
"Uh, somebody might want to put this out before we have a real disaster here!" suggested the Dark Elf from her perch. However, her comments appeared to fall on deaf ears as Skullsplitter leaped on top of Taraine before her opponent could get to her feet. Pinning the blonde's arms beneath her knees, the Drow Assasin repeatedly hammered Taraine with punches to her face.
As War Scribe looked on, the Drow Chronicler sadly shook her head and reopened her book saying, "Hmmm, let's see! How about this for a chapter title: Chapter 15 of the Chronicle of the Swamp War--Fire, Fire, Burning Bright!"
