"Meanwhile, back in the grotto, Taraine was building a fire to keep Alexia warm. However unbeknownst to both women a wounded Skull Splitter with her arm in a makeshift sling had silently slipped past the adventurers who were engaged in a fight with their evil opposites and entered the grotto! Sneaking up behind the new comer Taraine, the Drow assasin delievered a Savate thrust kick to back of her head, sending the foolish blonde sprawling to the ground and crashing into the jagged rocks of unconsciousness!""Well, what do you think, Taraine?" smiled the Dark Elf Chronicler musingly. "I hope its not too overly dramatic or anything like that! I just want it to be a fair assessment of what's about to happen to you, that's all! Care to give your opinion?"
Taraine had been watching the War Scribe as she spoke but she quickly ducked and move to the side, narrowly avoiding Skull Splitter's foot. "Thanks for the warning!" she said as she rolled away and out of the assassin's reach.
'Just my luck! This one is too fast, I am not sure if I can deal with her.' The blond drew her knifes and took a defensive position.
The assassin laughed as leaped up and did a flying kick at the fighter. The blond moved quickly, but not quick enought, the Drow's foot landed squarely on her left shoulder resulting in a sickening crunch. "ARGH!" she screamed as her fingers released the dagger in her left hand. She tried to hold back tears at the pain. "You witch! I think you broke my shoulder blade!" She growled angerly at the assissin, "No more miss nice witch!"
The War Scribe sat above them scribbling furiously in her book... "Quite fair, I do believe, both of you now have an injured arm."
"Oh you be quiet!" the blonde shouted, "Or you'll have two injured arms!"
"Tsk, tsk, temper temper."
While Taraine was sidetracked with the scribe, Skull Splitter took the opportunity to deliver a swift kick to the back of her head.
Taraine fell to the ground, still conscious but with a massive headache. "That does it!" She quickly climbed to her feet, managing to avoid another blow in the process. Her eyes change to a lovely violet color and almost seem to glow with power. That was the only warning the assassin had before a fireball left the girl's hands and headed directly at the assassin...
