Cadbury pounded against her mage's side trying to push him into the slight depression to his left. Like in slow motion he began a leap to the left then stopped suddenly and shoved himself to the right. Cadbury cried out, but she understood and loved him for it. He wore his satchel on the right; he'd reversed his direction so as not to bring her into the fire. But his delay cost him. The fireball caught him in the left side, catching his clothes on fire as he fell into the mud. Cadbury rolled unharmed from his satchel and shook her head, too dazed to move.
