The series of concussive explosions had better than a desired effect on the Regulators. It not only threw up a cloud of dirt and vegetation but it also sent Kinslayer and Soul Reaper flying back off of their feet--all except for Mind Flayer who stood his ground against Thothalas' magic. Shaking the dirt off of him, Mind Flayer calmly regarded his counterpart and waved his right hand in the air, dispelling what appeared to be a small globe of near transparent light that surrounded him. Smiling with an evil grin, the Drow War Mage said, "You know, High Elf, you really should invest in a good defense spell that instantly activates against such surprise attacks as yours! Though it only works once, one opportunity is all I really need to kill a pathetic child such as yourself!" Clenching his fists as he mumbled some arcane words, Mind Flayer summoned some electrical lightning that was laced with fire, saying, "I can see that you have some talent, boy! However, you're not going to live long enough to be of any good with it! For I am Mind Flayer! I am a War Mage! FEAR ME AND KNOW THAT I AM YOUR DEATH!!!" And with that, the Drow Mage flung the electrical fireball directly towards Thothalas and Cadbury. Next...
