"Kimmy?" Kryschenn gasped, startled to see the kender standing cheerfully in the tunnel, when she had been expecting someone from her group like Cassandra or Zeo. "Yep! Hiya," she waved.
"But I...but you...but... but... weren't you off to Venger's castle?" She shook her head and remembered that since their escape from the dungeons, plenty of time had passed for her friends to have returned. "Is everyone safe? You and Zak and Cole and everybody?" She grinned ruefully, and added, "I sure hope they're coming to the rescue, because I'm lost, I don't know what's happened to everyone else, and before you even ask, yes, it's been a really lousy day."
Just as Kimmy was about to start answer all of Kryschenn's questions, she saw her head snap up when she saw something down the tunnel out of the corner of her eye. Yes, there it was again. The spirit. Clearly more finite, stronger, less hazy. It was beginning to take on an almost human shape.
Instead of trying to show her what direction to go, the spirit seemed to be studying Kimmy with great interest.
"Do you see that?!" Kryschenn said, gesturing at the spirit. That was almost immediately followed by, "Never mind, it's gone again." She sighed. "Oh, and on top of everything else, I'm seeing ghosts down here. Now, you were saying?"
Kimmy wasn't sure what she had seen. It kinda sorta Maybe looked like there could've been some mist or something down there... her hand was still in her pocket however, and she was much more concerned with that weird whispery voice.
"You!...Yesssss..." it seemed to say.
"Uh, that's okay if you're seeing ghosts, as long as they won't melt our faces off or anything. I uh, don't suppose you just heard that whisper just then huh?
Shrugging, Kimmy went on to explain all about how their trip to Venger's Castle had gone complete with her explorations, the thumpa wumpa wumps, and how she had even gotten the Orb!
"Hank has the Orb now. At least I think he does. I was kinda busy with getting this stupid ring off to pay to much attention," she said and then proceeded to tell her about the zapping and the ouchies.
"Say, Krys. When I got to stay in the yarfell Dungeons, some Tolan guy told us a bit about what happened here. Did you really go beserk and kill all the bad guys?"
Considering Krys' answer, Kimmy thought for a moment and said seriously while making sure to stand to Krys' left, "Well, just remember, if ya ever have the urge to go beserk again, always always Always, hack to your Right!"
Nodding her head now that the important stuff was out of the way, Kimmy asked, "So where are all the others anyway that ya lost them? And uh, I hope you have a spare torch on ya, cause it doesn't look like this one has a whole heckuva lotta life left to it. Hey! Maybe we'll find some of that Staff of Yarfell on the way out!" Kimmy said optimistically.
