Kimmy watched as the portal page turned into the portal back to Yarfell. "Neat!"After Kimmy had given Zaki back the portal page and her map, which she helpfully pointed out the additions she made, (including the smiley faces on the statues) she trotted back over to Hank. She looked over at Fay and saw her friend was still happily eyeing the Ranger, she grinned and tugged on his sleeve.
"Um, hiya Hank! Here, I think maybe you oughta hold onto this," she said and handed him the Orb. That done she went back to Fay and finished their conversation.
"Now, where was I in telling ya everything? Oh yeah! So after I went up this really cool staircase, I..." and by turns, she half whispered confidentially and loudy spoke in excitement.
Anyone overhearing would have heard something like, "... and whisper mumble Big window balcony thingies and... mumble mumble Venger! whisper mumble water balloon! giggle laugh... But I didn't! giggle... big door... keyhole mumble... couldn't get in, so then I... a magic room! mumble crystal ball and whisper whisper 'Auntie Em!' giggle giggle... whisper mumble some kind of trophy room and there were mumble whisper Cloudbear! and a rug too! then... mumble bright light and feet!! mumble whisper Bubbles! whisper mumble I was under the bed and... whisper took Forever...mumble bored out of my kenderkin gourd and whipser The Orb! mumble mumble jawbreaker giggle laugh and whisper whisper whisper thumpa wumpa thumpa wump mumble left and then mumble EO!! mumble his and mumble ring on my thumb mumble whipser light flashed! mumble opened the door! whisper wings and mumble Bubbles again! and that awful howling and mumble mumble here we are!" she finished with a grin.
Fay smiled and shook her head and Kimmy said, "Oh, and let me show ya what else I found!" She pulled out a handful of rings and showed them to the Poet. "Aren't they pretty? This blue one is the door unlocker one and I have no idea what these other ones do. I really like this gold one. It even has a pink stone in it. See? Oh, but it's dented here. That's too bad. But look! It still fits! And... oops! It's uh... not coming off too good. Um..."
Kimmy pulled and tugged, but the ring was stuck on there. "Well, if it wants to stay on that bad, I guess it can. Hey, look! Everyone's going through the portal back to Yarfell. It looks like we'll end up back in the throne room there and... uh, is it me or is this warped ring starting to glow?"
Kimmy and Fay watched as the ring began to glow electric pink. The light grew brighter and there was a bit of static sparkle. Kimmy's eyes met Fay's and Kimmy got out a quick, "Uh-oh!" before there was a flash of pink light and she was gone.
Another flash of electric pink light later, she reappeared in Yarfell's throne room.
"Whoa! I'm back! Uh, hi there," she began and was grabbed by a guard and led away with the others. As she was tuigged along, she continued to try and remove the warped ring.
